On episode 2 of Orangeworks Insights, we sat down with Damian Killen, who is a leading consultant in psychometric testing in particular MBTI and all things team development.

If you are unfamiliar with the term, MBTI stands for Myers Briggs Type Indicator. It is a self-report questionnaire which indicates differing psychological preferences in how people perceive the world around them and make decisions. The assessment test helps people gain insights about how they work and learn. It is a framework for relationship-building, developing positivism, achieving excellence and most significantly for this purpose, team development.

A good leader will know how to adjust their leadership style according to the personality types of the people in their team. MBTI is a very useful instrument to help you understand your team better.

In this episode we discuss:

  • what is MBTI
  • why you should use MBTI
  • the personality types of your team
  • how understanding personality types can make you a better leader
  • Damian’s top tip for instilling the MBTI model in your team
